Dream wedding at Freudenfels Castle – Miriam & Marco in Thurgau
Miriam and Marco celebrated their church wedding in the beautiful Freudenfels Castle in Thurgau. The romantic ceremony in the chapel and the celebration in the castle created a unique backdrop for a day full of love and joy. It was our pleasure to capture this special day.
A wedding ceremony in the charming chapel not far from Freudenfels Castle
Miriam and Marco's church wedding took place in the Chapel of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, just a few steps away from the castle. The guests walked together to the chapel, which gave the ceremony a very special, almost fairy-tale touch. The charming chapel provided a beautiful setting for the couple to exchange their vows.
First look and couple photos despite the rain
The day began with preparations at the castle. Miriam and Marco got ready separately for their big moment. Their first glimpse of each other—the first look—took place in front of the castle and was brief but full of emotion. A light rain began to fall, but that didn't dampen the romance. On the contrary: the couple's photos were taken partly indoors and partly outdoors and perfectly captured the atmospheric backdrop of the castle.
An aperitif with a special surprise
After the wedding ceremony, all the guests enjoyed a sparkling aperitif on the castle grounds. An actress dressed as a waitress provided a charming surprise, entertaining everyone and causing lots of laughter. Of course, group photos were a must—and we took advantage of the sunset for a short but magical photo shoot with Miriam and Marco.
Celebration at Freudenfels Castle
The evening ended with a lively celebration that lasted late into the night. The unique combination of a fairytale castle setting and a warm atmosphere made this day an unforgettable experience for everyone present.
What many people don't know is that Freudenfels Castle looks back on over 700 years of history – once a medieval fortification, today one of the most beautiful wedding venues in Switzerland. The castle is located in Eschenz in the canton of Thurgau, high above Lake Constance, surrounded by meadows and vineyards. Its current Baroque appearance dates back to 1747 and bears the signature of Abbot Nicolaus Imfeld of Einsiedeln Abbey, which has owned the castle since 1623. A backdrop that lends weddings a fairy-tale quality all of its own.
Thanks to Miriam and Marco
We had the great pleasure of accompanying Miriam and Marco at their civil wedding at Zurich Zoo. Even then, it was clear how much love and joie de vivre connects the two of them. It was a huge pleasure for us to capture this special day in such a beautiful location. We wish you a wonderful future together, full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. ❤️
